  THE ONE GREAT THING IS ACDEMICIS. THE PRINCIPLE SEEMS UNCONCERNED OF THE VIEWS AND OPINIONS OF SOME PARENTS AS HE FREELY STATES TO REMOVE YOUR CHILD AND GOES AS FAR AS TO TELL YOU YOUR ZONED SCHOOL. I INITALLY THOUGHT HE WAS GREAT FOR THE SCHOOL UNTIL I HAD ISSUES. HE THINKS THE TEACHERS CAN DO NO WRONG. THERE IS A LOT OF FAVORITISM FROM TEACHERS, ADMINISTRATOR, AND HIM. IF YOU ARE IN A CERTAIN CLASS, MARTIAL STATUS, WORK THERE OR DON'T KNOW THE BEHIND THE SCEEN; YOU WILL HAVE MOST LIKELY HAVE A GOOD EXPERIENCE HERE, MANY TEACHERS ARE RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR KIDS. THIS SCHOOL IS GETTING A WELL DESERVED BAD REP THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY. THE CONCEPT IS GREAT, BUT THAT'S ABOUT ALL. NO FOREIGN LANUAGE FOR MANY STUDENTS, BUT A 3 YEAR PRGRAM WAS ADDED INSTEAD OF PERFECTING WHAT IS ALREADY THERE.

  I have 3 children that attend Drew Charter School. Coming from a neighborhood Atlanta Public school, I could not have asked for anything better short of putting my kids in Private School. I have recommended Drew to many other parents who have had diffculty getting accepted. I am so thankful mine are in and doing so well.

  This is a great school. I am so excited that my 3 year old son will attend the school next year. The new principal is great and my interactions with the administration so far have been great. I was so impressed when I visited the pre-K room and found the children having a discussion about marsupials.

  This is the best school that any of my three children have attended. Our previous experiences have been with one Fulton County elementary school and another Atlanta charter school. Please note that there is a new principal this year, and it does make a big difference. The school is striving a lot higher than just meeting AYP. Our experience is that the teachers really care, and there are so many extracurricular activities to chose from to help keep the children motivated. The school believes in recognizing student acheivement which is another part of how they keep kids motivated and excited about learning. I've seen more discussion and excitment at home by my children regarding school activities and assignments than I've every seen when they attended previous schools. We really look forward to coming home and hearing about all the exiciting activities at school from our children.

  I give this school Five stars! I have 3 children who is and have been apart of Charles R Drew Charter school. My senior graduates this year in May and I have a sophmore both of whom graduated from Drew. Last year in 2009 Drew implemented a preschool program and I have the honor to say that my 3yr old is the first class. I am very pleased with the progress that my children has made being part of a school which shows Academic Excellence. My sophmore has been on the honor roll since starting Drew in the 5th grade!
